19 Massachusetts communities made it to the list of the 100 cities and towns with the lowest crime rates. The analysis is based on the number of crimes per 1K residents and includes burglary, theft, murder, rape, armed robbery, and assault.
Among Massachusetts communities, Franklin scored highest, coming in as the second safest in America. Franklin was followed closely by my adopted hometown of (Shooberry) Shrewsbury at #3.
