Wegmans Food Markets has announced a recall of its unsalted mixed nuts due to potential Salmonella contamination. The recall affects 11.5-ounce and 34-ounce packages of Wegmans Deluxe Mixed Nuts Unsalted, which were sold between November 3 and December 1, 2025, in ten states, including New York, Pennsylvania, and Virginia. The contamination was discovered after routine testing revealed Salmonella in a batch of raw pistachios used in the nuts, according to the FDA.
Salmonella can cause severe illness, particularly in young children, the elderly, and those with weakened immune systems. Symptoms include fever, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, and abdominal pain. So far, no illnesses have been reported in connection with the recalled nuts. Customers who purchased the affected products can return them to any Wegmans store for a full refund. The lot codes and best-by dates are located above the nutrition label on the tubs and below the nutrition label on the bags. For more information, consumers can contact Wegmans Food Markets at 1-855-934-3663, available daily from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. EST. Newsweek reported that the FDA will continue to monitor the situation and may take further action if necessary.
