Massachusetts Gets Big Money From Trillion Dollar Federal Plan

Massachusetts will be receiving over nine-billion-dollars in the infrastructure bill signed by President Biden yesterday.

In addition, billions more dollars are available in grant funding that is being offered to all states.

The money will be used to repair roads and bridges, and for improvements to public transportation, broadband access and to address climate change.

The broadband component had been sought for years in the state, but money was always the key sticking point.

Over a billion-dollars is also earmarked towards replacing lead pipes to increase access to clean drinking water.
