At least ninety people were killed after a suicide truck bombing in the Afghan capital of Kabul on Wednesday. Officials said the attack, which occurred in a highly secure diplomatic area, sent a huge plume of smoke over the city, and left as many as 350 people wounded. Investigators said they did not immediately know the exact target of the bombing, but that most of those killed were civilians, including women and children. The incident is one of the worst attacks in Kabul since the drawdown of foreign forces from the country three years ago.
