Ed Markey's new press flack acts like he's still campaigning for Joe Biden.

Geoff Burgan helped Biden to win Arizona, but he lost a twitter war of words with me. Burgan is Senator Ed Markey's new communications director and decided to take me on in a twitter dust up Saturday. You will hear in the podcast below and see in screen grabs the back and forth tweeting that Geoff made the wrong call when he decided to mix it up. Frankly, I would think a communications director for a US senator would have more pressing demands on their time and would ignore the observations of a syndicated talk host. Unfortunately, this was not the Burgan's first bad decision. He does not have a good track record in picking winners. Previously, he worked for Debbie Wasserman Shultz during the period when she had to resign in disgrace as DNC chair following allegations she fixed the 2016 democratic primary for Hillary Clinton. Then, he hooked his wagon to Andrew Gillum and provided communications for the former Tallahassee mayor's failed campaign for Florida governor. Gillum would later end up in a hotel room with an overdosing male escort and a pile of meth. Burgan picked another winning campaign when he signed on as the Iowa communications director for Beto O’Rourke. Enough said. His only real victory came in running communications for Joe Biden's presidential campaign in Arizona. He cashed all that in for a job with Ed Markey. Quite a reward for such a distinguished career.
