Honor Trooper MacDougal's Memory By Moving Over.

The Massachusetts Move Over Law was enacted in 2009 and requires drivers approaching a stationary emergency or maintenance vehicle with flashing lights to move to the next adjacent lane and slow down, if it is safe to do so. Sadly, on this day in 1971, 25 year old Trooper Robert MacDougall was struck and killed by a vehicle while interviewing a suspect on the side of Route 20 in Shrewsbury.
