George Lopez's wife gave him a kidney and then he dumped her. Now he's perfectly comfortable making moral judgments about President Trump.
People who live in glass houses should disrobe, use the toilet, and shower in the basement. Comedian and actor George Lopez is lower than the basement. Actually, as my Navy friends would say, he's lower that whale "droppings."
Last Friday, Lopez put this picture out on Instagram:
Really?! He also said “This is not an indictment of all Law Enforcement , some still just beat you." This is a man who requires police to protect him and his fans when he performs stand-up shows or does live appearances. The social media blow-back was immediate and immense. Many people, including Latino police officers, took offense with the callous and inflammatory post. Within hours he took down the offending post and replaced it with this:
Hardy, ha, ha. Lopez's post says, "I hope this clears up any misunderstanding. Comedy has a way of healing, but I also realize it can hurt too, so let's let cooler heads prevail." Comedy?! There's nothing funny about what he said and his attempt at a recovery is even more insulting. What should we expect from a man who took a kidney from his wife and then dumped her. Check out his Mea culpa in the video below:
This wasn't the last of Lopez's slips from the moral high ground. Recently, Lopez showed his gratitude for receiving an organ that saved his life by getting so drunk he passed out on a casino floor and had to be arrested. That sounds like a man who truly appreciated receiving a life giving gift that people every day waiting for.
Lopez has said and continues to say things about Donald Trump that can not be repeated here. Any harsh judgement of a person by Lopez should be worn as a badge of honor. Again, people who live in glass houses...
