The Worcester School Committee says school department employees have to be vaccinated against the coronavirus, get tested or have a religious exemption.
If not - they will be fired. It is the similar policy to what the city of Worcester is doing.
The teacher deadline is November first as well. The school union is now concerned.
They contend that while most teachers approve of the mandate- if any number of teachers are let go- that could create an even worse staffing problem than already exists.
Union members are expected to meet today to review their options.
