Dave Grohl & Brandi Carlile Surprise Fans With A Street Performance

The shoppers at Seattle's Pike Place Market got quite the surprise Saturday afternoon (April 20).

Foo Fighters' lead singer, Dave Grohl, joined forces with Brandi Carlile for a surprise performance that included a cover of The Beatles' "Let It Be" and Foo Fighters' very own "Times Like This."

Before delivering the surprise set, Brandi teased the duo's collab performance on Instagram, captioning a car taken selfie alongside a scowling Dave: "So.... rumor has it we’re maybe going busking at Pike place right now... see you soon fish!! @pikeplacepublicmarket." She later posted a few minutes of their 15 to 20 minutes set to her Facebook page.

The Foo Fighters' frontman also shared a snap from the fun performance to social media, posting a photo of the duo performing to Instagram with the caption, "Got nostalgic and decided to swing by my old busking spot @pikeplacepublicmarket with the twins and Dave Grohl...honestly one of the most surreal moments of my life. 😭🤘 Thanks guys ❤️✊ @timhanseroth @phil_hanseroth."

While the performance was a surprise for fans, it seemed Brandi and Dave had been cooking up the idea for at least a day of two as they spent the day together on Friday (April 19). The "Party of One" singer shared that Dave came over to her house for a day of fun that ended with a nice home-cooked meal hours before their surprise Pike Place Market set. "I love it when Dave Grohl comes over for dinner and ATVs 😂❤️🤘," she captioned a smiling photo of them. "You sir are welcome to live with me...please. #thetwinswillneverbethesameaftertoday."
