(TRIGGER WARNING, THIS IS SATIRE) President Joe Biden called the decision by the governors' of Alabama and Texas to end mask mandates "Neanderthal thinking." Despite their depictions in popular culture, Neanderthals were not dumb brutes. They were likely just as smart as we modern humans because their brains were larger than ours. We are Homo Sapiens and I believe the President's comment was insensitive and perhaps "racist" toward a species different than us. Neanderthals were simply an earlier species in the "human race."
