CNN To Kathy Griffin: You're Fired!

Comedian Kathy Griffin has been fired by CNN. The network announced on Wednesday they were cutting ties with Griffin a day after she posed for a photo holding a mock Trump head. Network officials said Griffin would no longer appear on CNN's New Year's Eve special. The gory photo was widely condemned across the political spectrum, and advertisers began pulling their spots from the network. At least two nightclubs announced they would cancel Griffin's future appearances following the outcry over the bloody photo. Griffin began co-hosting CNN's New Year's Eve coverage in Times Square with Anderson Cooper in 2007.
