The Think Tank Panel Does Not Mince Words When It Comes to the Mob Justice in Durham, NC

Protestors in Durham, North Carolina, toppled a statue of a Confederate soldier with a rope Monday night following a weekend of unrest at a “Unite the Right” rally held in Charlottesville, Virginia, that left one dead and 19 injured.

The statue was erected nearly 100 years ago and stood in front of an old courthouse in downtown Durham. In the video, protesters are heard chanting “No Trump, no KKK, no fascist USA” before scaling the statue and toppling it with a bungee cord. The group of “anti-fascist” protesters then went on to spit, kick, and punch the toppled statue.

Today on Think Tank the panel discussed the state of the nation and the tactics now glorified by liberals.

“I have to tell you: what a bunch of frauds,” Glenn said. “They are posing. All of these people are posing. How many of them have been so ‘deeply offended’ by this that they have to go up, be the first one to spit on it. Stop it. Stop it. It’s insulting. It shows how stupid the American people have truly become.”

The panel was then reminded of a scene that occurred in nearly the same manner when a Saddam Hussein statue was toppled in Baghdad in April of 2003.

“This is so highly reminiscent to what happened in Iraq when they were tearing down Saddam Hussein’s statue,” said Nick Pitts of the Denison Forum.

It’s also highly reminiscent of ISIS militants destroying statues in a Catholic Church in the southern Philippines and ancient Christian holy sites in Iraq which militants believe go against Islam.
