Anthony Weiner pleaded guilty to sending sexually explicit images to a teenage girl. The disgraced former Democrat Congressman - who is married to Hillary Clinton's close personal aide, Huma Abedin - admitted to a charge of transferring obscene material to a minor.
Weiner addressed the court, saying his "destructive impulses brought great devastation to my family and friends and destroyed my life's dream of public service." He also apologized to the teen, saying "I have a sickness, but I do not have an excuse."
Weiner will now be required to register as a sex offender.
He was released on bail pending his sentencing, which has been set for September. He could face a fine and anywhere from no time in prison to up to 10 years.
