(Boston, MA)  --  The Republican National Committee is formally threatening to block NBC, MSNBC and CNN from airing 2016 GOP presidential debates in a dispute over planned films about Hillary Clinton.  Meeting in Boston, the RNC passed a non-binding resolution condemning a planned NBC movie and a CNN documentary about the former First Lady and Secretary of State.  Clinton is the subject of considerable speculation about whether she may seek the Democratic presidential nomination in 2016.  She has not publicly confirmed any plans.

The RNC resolution was passed unanimously with no debate.  Meantime, the Democratic National Committee accuses the RNC of seeking to limit exposure to GOP presidential candidates.  A DNC statement says Republican leaders continue speaking for the "fringes of their party" in an ongoing "sideshow."
